The Canadian electrically powered track car
The goal of this project was to design an electric powered 3 wheeled track car. A light open top concept that uses 3 electric motors in a vehicle with instantaneous torque coupled with torque vectoring. All wrapped up in carbon fiber modern yet classically proportioned aerodynamic body.
As the only designer and developer, I was responsible for:
o Designing the exterior & interior of the vehicle
o Choosing the right components and finding providers for various parts
o Geometry & Ergonomics
o Assist with aerodynamics, chassis and suspension
o Technical details and development
o Supervise prototype development
Here is a glimpse of my contribution to the project:
Ergonomics studies using different percentiles were made to determine the amount of volume space required for the driver and passenger.
The study also assures that all interior features are comfortably within reach of the driver.
The LCD cluster has 3 modes and a startup animation. The graphic design and animation is entirely designed by me.

Home knob to control the LCD cluster and switch between the 3 driving modes is made out casted aluminium.
The most challenging part of 3D modeling this product was the body. To build the CAD for the body and the interior dashboard of the car, surfacing was used.
The use of multiple surfaces intersecting and stitching them allowed the achievement of such a fluid organic design.
Once done, the different panels were split and thickened to become solid manufacturable parts
Prototyping started by converting a regular low end bicycle to an electrical bicycle using the Girfalco - New Energy system.
Test performed measured the systems capabilities and characteristics such as speed, range ease of use and other...
Once the frame was finalized. Drawings were made and the prototyping of the frame begun.
The design has made it to the salon d'auto anniversary presentation. where the company showcased it's 1/10 scale 3D printed model.
